Ocala, Fla., January 7, 2020 — The second annual Farm to Table event to benefit the Florida Cancer Specialists (FCS) Foundation will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 5 – 9 p.m. at the Castle Gate Farm in Ocala, located at 13009 South Highway 475. FCS Radiation Oncologist Dr. Luis Carrascosa and his wife, Guisela, and FCS Radiation Oncologist Dr. Sachin Kamath, and his wife, Shelly, are serving as co-chairs for the event. Proceeds will provide financial assistance to help cancer patients in need pay for non-medical living expenses.
Castle Gate Farm is southwest Ocala’s premier boarding and training equestrian center. Co-chair and FCS Physician Dr. Luis Carrascosa said, “We are so appreciative to Castle Gate Farm owners Tim & Crystal O’Donohue for hosting our event at their state-of-the-art facility so that the FCS Foundation can assist even more cancer patients who are facing financial challenges.”
Guests are encouraged to wear country chic attire to enjoy a unique farm-to-table dining experience with locally grown and raised ingredients, auctions and entertainment. The inaugural event, held in 2019, was a sell-out and netted $215,000.
“Funds raised at this event will make a meaningful difference in the lives of adults who are living with cancer,” added FCS Physician and event Co-chair Dr. Sachin Kamath.
All proceeds will benefit the FCS Foundation, which provides financial assistance for non-medical living expenses to qualified cancer patients who are currently undergoing treatment in Florida. The FCS Foundation’s overhead is paid by Florida Cancer Specialists’ physicians so that 100% of donations (net of event expenses) benefit cancer patients in need.
Event tickets are $200 per person or $2,000 for a table of 10 and can be purchased on the FCS Foundation website at fcsf.org/Farm2020. To learn more, contact FCS Foundation Executive Director Lynn Rasys at LRasys@FLCancer.com or (941) 677-7184.

About Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation
The Florida Cancer Specialists (FCS) Foundation provides financial support to qualified adult cancer patients in the state of Florida for expenses such as rent or mortgage, car payments and utility bills. By giving patients peace of mind in knowing that their bills are being paid while they are undergoing treatment, the FCS Foundation allows them to concentrate on what really matters – fighting cancer.
Due to the generosity of the Florida Cancer Specialists physicians in covering all overhead expenses for the Foundation, 100% of donations received go directly toward paying the essential non-medical living expenses of an adult battling cancer.
The Foundation is a 501(3)(c) nonprofit organization located at 5204 Paylor Lane in Sarasota, Florida 34240. Learn more about the FCS Foundation at: Foundation.FLCancer.com or call (941) 677.7181.
